Happy Birthday, Sydney and Happy Halloween

Sydney LOVES, LOVES, LOVES holidays.  All of them.  And she loves holiday appropriate attire.  She thinks she is the luckiest girl in the world to have a birthday the day before Halloween.  So when she asked for a Halloween themed birthday party at our house, I had to agree.  We had a fabulous face painter come to the house.  Sydney loved every minute of the party.  Thanks to the many friends and family who came to celebrate with her.  We were busy having fun, so I didn't take too many pictures of the guests.

They were both eating candy, but obliged for my pre party pictures!

A rainbow pumpkin?  No problem!

The next day our church had a fall festival, which was pretty low key, but the kids had a great time.

Mr. Chill, along for the ride

And after all of that celebrating and fun, it was finally Sydney's actual birthday.  Happy 5th birthday, sweet girl!  Of course this calls for a "5th birthday" pin so that everyone will know it is her birthday.  Sydney is so full of life- we cannot imagine our family without her.  She loves life and is always up for anything.  She tries to keep all of us in line, and she is maybe a tad bossy.  She has a very good memory and is very detail oriented. Sydney is a great big sister- very sweet to Jenna and Wyatt (as long as she gets her own way!).  She is a big helper and a classic oldest child.

She has a wonderful teacher, and Ms. Kathy made her feel so special.

The super exhausting fun week continued with Halloween!  We had our annual trick or treat with neighbors and good friends, which we do on the early side since we have so many little ones.  Jenna had a fit before we left and finally threw on the Rapunzel costume from the dress up collection (nicely paired with flip flops).  Sydney had planned to wear her new witch costume to the fall festival and the super cool Ariel costume that Granny gave her for her birthday on Halloween.  This costume lights up and plays music!

This guy was pretty unhappy also, so we had a fairly dramatic pre trick or treating at our house.  The tiger costume was not happening, so we just went without it!

I cannot even remember what this drama queen was so upset about.  It could have been someone's dog when they answered the door.  She snapped out of it pretty quickly though.

The whole gang!!!  This is the fourth year we've gone with the same friends, and we always take this picture.  We are all finished having babies, so next year might be the first time there are not any new additions!

The girls spent HOURS sorting and trading candy that Saturday morning.  Amazing!!!

Jenna is so sweet that at first Sydney was taking most of the candy, but then they ended up trading back and forth, so it worked out.
