Misc Catch Up

This was from last month, but I forgot to post it. Too cute to leave out!

BJ got wheels and tires for the Mustang, so he is getting closer to having it finished. It looks great! When it's all finished, I'll post a before and after, in case anyone forgot what a rust bucket it was when he bought it last year.

Sydney and I made cookies, and she had a great time. Ok, they were the slice and bake kind... but the amount of time required to prepare lined up with both Sydney's attention span and my spare time.

Happy Birthday, BJ!

We celebrated BJ's birthday a couple of times in San Angelo over Labor Day weekend. Sydney really enjoyed singing Happy Birthday, helping BJ blow out the candles, and having cake! She will be all ready for her birthday next month.

Since this is football season, there will be lots of pics in Longhorn gear!

We celebrated at home on BJ's actual birthday, with more candles, singing and cake. BJ had just mowed the lawn so he was a little sweaty here. :)

Jenna- 2 Months Old

Well, almost two weeks ago she was two months old! Jenna weighs 10 lbs 11 oz, 50th percentile for weight and length, and 90th percentile for head size. She smiles pretty often now although it's still hard to catch on camera. She also makes little noises "talking" to us and recently found her hands.

I Do It Self!

That is what we hear a million times a day now! It's fun to see Sydney gaining independence as she learns to do things herself, but it does test our patience at times.

But this week we had to swaddle her and put her in the swing for naps. Sydney napped like this until she was 6-7 months old.

Hmm... guess we go to Target pretty often!

Fun with Friends and at the Pool

Paige and her two boys came for a visit a couple of weeks ago, and we all had a great time! Will and James are still getting a shout out in Sydney's bedtime prayers- "Thank you Will, Thank you baby James, Thank you baby James' paci."

Trip to San Angelo

We spent a week in San Angelo to introduce Jenna, and it was nice to have time to visit with ALL of our family there!

Cousin Laura was great at entertaining Sydney... and didn't even mind that most of the time Sydney called her "Lauren" (because there is a girl in her daycare class named Lauren)!

Sydney learned how to make a silly face and was quite proud of it.

Sydney must not have realized the goose was right next to the little pool! She loves animals from a distance, but does not like to be too close to them.

BJ's great grandmother turned 92 recently, so we had a group family photo taken (hence the all white attire!).
