Best Dad Ever

Almost all of my posts are about the girls, because that's who everyone wants to see, right?  But this time I have to brag on my sweet husband.  We survived my busy season at work yet again, and BJ was the glue that held our little family together.  When I say busy, I mean BUSY!  It was eight weeks of late nights and weekends at the office.  Here is what BJ's weeks in charge consisted of:

* Lots of hairbows and ponytails

* Trips to the grocery store with both girls, including a visit to the men's room with both girls when Sydney had to go to the potty!  That deserves a medal.

 * Cookie baking.  We didn't find out that Jenna's class was having a Valentine's Day party until the day before, which was a Monday.  She can't eat most baked goods unless we bring them due to her peanut allergy.  I was so upset!  BJ left work early, went home, and made cookies (sprinkles and all) to take for her class the next day.

* A few moments like this one.  Jenna is so sweet and adorable- at times.  At 20 months old, she is starting to throw fits and show her independence.

* And many sweet moments and fun times.

Clearly BJ is the best dad ever!  The girls adore him.

We have happily returned to a normal schedule now for the past few weeks.  BJ and I have had some much needed time to spend together, including a daytime date when the girls were at daycare.  It is hard to believe that we have been together for 16 years now- where did the years go?  When we started dating in my junior year of high school, the last thing on my mind was what kind of a husband and father BJ would be.  I am one lucky lady!  I'm looking forward to the many, many more years we will have together.
