Happy Birthday Jenna and the rest of July

July has come and gone very quickly.  Jenna turned 3 on July 6, although it felt like we celebrated for weeks because we did with Granny, Neeme, and Papa at different times.  Lucky girl!

Jenna is such a sweet little chatterbox, with so much personality now.  She is quick to give hugs and kisses, and also quick to get upset.  She loves Wyatt and is so sweet to him- always playing with him and talking to him.  She thinks Sydney is the coolest and follows her around constantly, yet also knows how to push Sydney's buttons.  She likes to copycat everything Sydney is saying, which makes her really mad!  Jenna is Most Likely to Run into a Wall.  About a million times a day we say, "watch where you are going, Jenna!!!  Don't run into the wall/ door/ pole/ sign/ chair"  That girl is oblivious sometimes (most of the time).  The next broken bone in our family will definitely be Jenna's.

Always good to start out your birthday with donuts, party hats, and candles!

Every time Jenna was with BJ at Academy she asked for sunscreen when they passed the display.  We have a ton of sunscreen at home, so he told her no.  Just before her birthday, he knew we would be going there to get a bike on her birthday, so he told her maybe on her birthday she could get some.  She brought it up when we were eating breakfast on her birthday, and she was SO EXCITED to get the sunscreen.  We told her we were going to pick out a new big girl bike at Academy.  She was like, "oh great.  And I can get the sunscreen!!!!!".  Of course we had to pick up the sunscreen first when we got there.

This girl cannot make a decision,  She makes Sydney look decisive!  She finally chose this yellow one, only to make a last minute change to another one before we left.

Plenty of helpers to make cupcakes- although they only care about licking the frosting bowl

The new bike!  She rode it for about five minutes before getting bored.

I was still on crutches then, and Sydney was a huge help to me.  She carried things for me, helped tidy up, and would push Wyatt from one room to another in the stroller.  We had a few friends over for dinner on Jenna's birthday, and Sydney helped me pretty much all afternoon.  Sweet girl!

More candles and cupcakes!  I didn't get any pictures with the friends that celebrated Jenna's birthday with us.  The kids swam in the little pool in our backyard, and Jenna was so excited to share her sunscreen with everyone!  Really, I think the sunscreen was the highlight of her birthday!

On the Fourth of July, Jenna told Dana that she wanted a Dora toothbrush for her birthday.  I couldn't believe it but they found one for her.  She was super excited to use it that night.  Most nights Jenna gets out of bed to go to the bathroom after we put her to bed, so we heard her do that.  And a few minutes later, we heard buzzzzzzzz- silly girl couldn't help it and got out the toothbrush again.

Right after we put Wyatt in the crib/ pack and play to sleep since he was escaping the swing, he started to roll over while swaddled.  So, we had to start swaddling one arm out so he could move around enough.  We're still doing that!  If it works, don't rock the boat.

A boy with two older sisters can't be afraid of a little pink!

It is so hard to get a decent picture with all three kids in it!  This one is out of focus but the best one I got this day.  Seriously, are these the cutest kids ever or what???

I have no idea why, but Sydney frequently wants to strike this pose when I'm taking her picture.

Concentrating hard... trying to grab the toys on the boucy seat.

Once I got off crutches, I was able to start enjoying the only benefit from my broken ankle- handicapped parking!  It's always very hard to get a parking spot when I occasionally stop by before work.  Not anymore!

Thanks to Aunt Susan for sending this picture- the infamous Taylor and Sydney from the Kirking Family Reunion in June.  Sydney really did follow her around the entire time.  She even wanted to text Taylor at 8am on Saturday morning to see why she wasn't downstairs yet, and couldn't understand why we said no!  She still talks about Taylor all the time.

Little guy in a big highchair

We managed to sign up for the last six weeks of the summer session at The Little Gym.  The girls are in the same class, and they are having so much fun.  Jenna said, "Why do they call it The Little Gym when it's a big gym???"

Woo hoo, on the way to a movie!  BJ and I left work early on a Friday to take the girls to a movie- Jenna's first movie in the theater.  Five minutes after we sat down, daycare called, and Wyatt was sick, so BJ had to go pick him up.  The second half of the movie didn't go so well.  Let's just say it will be a while until I take them to a movie again!  Or we will have to get Jenna an extra extra large popcorn to keep her entertained.

We made a very last minute trip to San Antonio so BJ could get some parts for the Camaro, and we were so excited to meet up with some friends while we were there.  Hanging out at the Gonzales' with Will and James

Paige and I have been friends for 20 years... how did we get so old??

Wyatt slept well in the hotel, which was great.  It takes so long to get the kids to go to bed in a hotel that we certainly didn't want to be up all night with W!

We stayed at a hotel on the Riverwalk so we could walk around a bit on Sunday morning.  The girls had a lot of fun.  Luckily there were few people out at that time, because the sidewalks are small and the water is right there!  Nobody fell in so we considered it a success.

Hanging out with the Walkers- Ryland, Easton and Teagan.  The girls were tired and not at their best, but it was so great to catch up.

Teagan was so sweet to Wyatt

Look at me wearing two shoes!!!  At the end of July, I was finally out of the boot and walking in shoes, although quite slowly.  Ninety year old ladies are speeding by me.

Wyatt sat in a highchair for the first time at Jason's Deli rather than staying in his car seat.  Super exciting- he loved it!  He was people watching the entire time.
