Concan

In July, we spent a long weekend at some cabins on the Frio River (near Concan) with our friends, the Walkers.  We had the best time!  

A week before we left, BJ and I talked about renting a golf cart while we were there to get around the cabin area.  Within a few days, BJ had bought one off of Craigslist, fixed it up, and painted it gold to match my car.  Then he sold it for a profit when we got home- a typical BJ move!  We definitely needed the golf cart while we were there, and the kids loved it.

One of the kids' favorite parts- Pop Tarts!!!  They were ridiculously excited about this.

There was a great swimming hole, and we spent hours hanging out there.  No pictures of the river though!

Even the golf cart can't cure the post nap grumpiness.

Sydney's first crush- on Easton!  She had the best time dancing with him.

BJ and Beau popped the hood on their Jeep to take a look, and Wyatt came running over!

Our cabin had two brooms in it!  Score.  Wyatt spent a lot of time sweeping on the porch.  Also pretending to be a witch riding the broom.  

Jenna loves Wyatt too much sometimes.

All the kids were so good and had a great time together.

And we really enjoyed catching up!

Of course Sydney offered to share her chair with Easton.  And saved him some glow bracelets.  

Wyatt wouldn't smile, so I said "dump truck" and got this smile.

So I tried it again- refusing to smile...

"Dump truck!"  Success!!  Ha.

We spent a lot of time hanging out on the screen porch in our cabin.  So nice to enjoy a few slow days together!
