July was so much fun! The girls and I took a day off to hang out, and Starbucks is always a good start.
We went to the party store to get Fourth of July goodies, and we were there ten minutes before they opened. So, even though the employee was right there inside the door doing nothing, we patiently waited outside. Running sprints is a good way to pass the time!
This girl LOVES holidays. All of them.
Then Sydney made her own flag, pink of course.
Sydney still needs selfie practice to master the right angle, but she was really impressed with her blue mouth from the snow cones.
On the Fourth, we went to the Round Rock parade for the first time. It was so much fun to meet up with friends and hang out. We had plenty of donuts to keep Wyatt busy.
But it was HOT at the parade, so we had to come home and cool off for a while.
That evening we met back up with friends for dinner and fireworks.
Sydney drew this, handed it to me and said, "I did scribble scrabble so that Wyatt can understand it." Ha! She was totally serious.
And finally, July 6- Jenna's birthday. By this time, we had celebrated for over a week. I wasn't planning on making a cake until I saw her reaction when I told her that the day before. She was still confused that she wasn't having another party on her birthday. So, I did make a cake, and even tried my hand at decorating it!
Then it was my birthday! BJ and the kids surprised me with festive decorations.
Wyatt discovered the broom, which keeps him entertained for a long time.
Wyatt loves hanging out in the garage with Daddy.
Time for Wyatt's first haircut! This was the best pre-haircut picture I could get.
He did not enjoy the haircut. I actually had to hold his head while he was screaming. At least there was not much to cut at all.
Handsome boy! He was in a phase where he WOULD NOT look at me when I was taking a picture. And yes, that is a giant bruise on his forehead.
I was determined to get a good picture... still trying the following day, but he would not look at me.
He did look AROUND me when a big truck drove by!
Fun with friends! Think it's time for them to get a bigger kiddie pool!
Ice cream!!!
